From 13–19 November 2023, the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) of Saudi Arabia participated in the third session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-3) in Nairobi, Kenya, hosted at the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) headquarters.
The event focused on progressing the development of a legally binding global instrument to combat plastic pollution, including pollution in marine environments.
NCEC’s presence in Nairobi highlighted the Kingdom’s growing commitment to global environmental governance and meaningful multilateral cooperation.
